I can't remember the last time I upgraded things. I've done six or seven arrangements in the last little while. A few barbershop arrangements, one choral work ("She Walks in Beauty," text by Lord Byron) and a few sacred pieces for my church choir. My latest is a beautiful setting of "Be Still My Soul" with a surprise key change halfway through. So excited to hear what it'll be like when we premier it!
Busy times. But good busy

I was priviledged to be commissioned to write/arrange an early American song for Algona, Iowa's concert choir. After selecting "Little Liza Jane" I set off to work. 4-5 hours later, the piece was sent away for examination. So pleased with the results! Jamie Kelley gave me the parameters for the song and I tailored it for the choir specifically. What a blast! We'll do a Skype session later this year and let's check how they like it.

It's been ages but I've finally updated a few things. I've arranged a few more barbershop songs, and a few more hymns. The most recent is "Jesus, Jesus, Rest Your Head" I did one version for voice and piano and another for clarinet and piano. Busy times!

Just finished a productive week. Two arrangements down, two hundred to go
Now available are "Nothing is too wonderful to be true" from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and "I Turned the Corner" from the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. I'm terribly proud of these and hope a loving quartet/chorus will run with them!

I seem to thrive on arranging music no one else is singing. The ensembles are happy getting a custom arrangement for their group, a chart not everyone else is singing, and a unique audience draw into something refreshingly different.
The next two songs up for me are "Nothing is too wonderful to be true" from Dirty Rotton Scoundrels and "I Turned the Corner" from Thoroughly Modern Millie.
So excited about these two!

Busy couple of months! I've finished a few new barbershop arrangements, a couple of SATB religious pieces aimed at church choir, and I'm working on a new a capella piece for collegiate choir.

Just finished another hymn arrangement: "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" for horn and piano. There are some fantastic instrumentalists in my congregation and I'm taking full advantage of them
Hoping to do more work on a few barbershop arrangements in the near future!

I'm working on a piece from Sweeney Todd called "I Feel You Joanna" that is a wonderful, tasty piece. I hope to have it available for TTBB use very soon.

I sat down and laid this arrangement out in one night a couple days ago. I was really happy with how it turned out. Perhaps I can get it recorded this Fall.
I love the song and how it turned out. I re-visited it yesterday but surprisingly, didn't alter one note. I suppose I was inspired. It's a beautiful text. Fortunately it's in the public domain so it's already cleared and ready to go.

In order to make view easier to navigate, I've been modifying the website the last few days. It's been a little work but fortunately not too bad. Some of the music is in easier listed form. We'll see if it's worth the trouble.
